Check for signs posted at the beach before swimming at Presque Isle State Park. Budny is sometimes called “Kite Beach” because of it’s popularity with kite flyers. Go fly a kite there or be what kite flyers call a “lookieloo” and watch the flying shapes. Most of the actual beach has been worn away by erosion, which is why it is so popular with kiters and boaters. At night, the beach is illuminated with candles and neon lights. This beach has a concession stand and lifeguards to keep everyone well fed and safe. There are restrooms and ample parking.
