Due to the degraded condition of Bull Creek, the City of Los Angeles in conjunction with the Corps of Engineers developed a restoration plan for Bull Creek, and construction began in spring of 2008. Fishing and wading, however, are popular on the shaded banks of the Creek approximately 150 feet upstream of where the creek enters the Los Angeles River. Bull Creek is located east of Balboa Blvd. and is the western border of the Anthony Beilenson Park (Lake Balboa). Bull Creek emerges from drainage channels just south of Victory Blvd., and travels 3000 feet in a straight line before it reaches and flows into the Los Angeles River.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
