Cunard Lake Beach

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Cunard Beach has an open strip of sand right next to Williams Lake. During the summer months of the year from July 1 to August 31 on fair weather days there are lifeguards supervising the beach from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the other side of the beach, there is a large grassy field which is free to use. On Cunard Beach, there is also a volleyball court above a sandy enclosure and a baseball field available for use.

Fun Fact: Cunard Beach was named after the Cunard family who were a prominent family during the goldrush of the 1860’s.
