Shippagan Beach

Shippagan beach is open to the public and is located near Shippagan campground on the Atlantic coast. On site you can find changing rooms, toilets, picnic areas, boardwalk, aquatic center with whirlpool and fountains and playground. You can also rent bicycles and pedal boats. Fishing is considered to be part of the experience and visitors are encouraged to inquire about deep sea fishing excursions in town.
The name of Shippigan comes from the Micmac language SEPAGUN CHICHE-which means "crossing of the ducks".

Commodités / Amenities : La plage de Shippagan est ouverte au public et se situe à proximité du camping de Shippagan. Sur place on peut trouver des vestiaires, toilettes, des aires de pique nique et un terrain de jeux. On peut
également louer des vélos et des pédalos. Cette plage bénéficie d'un trottoir de bois proche de la plage, d'un centre nautique (pour la location d'équipements sportifs), d'un centre aquatique (bains à remous avec des jets d'eau) et s'un minigolf.
