Drum Point - Wye Island

The Wye River is a popular destination for boaters looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy fishing and crabbing. Drum Point on Wye Island can be accessed by boat, kayak, or by Ferry Point Trail. Ferry Point trail is a 1.5 mile round trip trail that goes through the forested area of the Wye Island Natural resource Management Area including the Drum Point beachfront area. Swimming is not allowed in this area but hikers do typically wade in the water at the beach. Free trailhead parking is available for those who hike to the point.
