About Silver Creek
Silver Creek is formed by dozens of springs bubbling up from an aquifer, which form a stream. It is an example of a high desert, cold-spring ecosystem, and attracts a variety of wildlife, including 150 species of birds. It is a world-class preserve that attracts anglers from all over the world looking to test their technical flyfishing mettle during the famed brown drake hatch in late spring. Downstream of the Nature Conservancy's Silver Creek Preserve and Kilpatrick Pond, the creek flows through private property before reaching its confluence with the Little Wood River.
