BEACH INFO:
Anderson Lake is west of Lillooet, and is drained by the Seton River, which, along with the Fraser River, feeds Seton Lake.
Anderson Lake used to be the same water body as Seton Lake, but a landslide from the Caoyosh Range divided the lakes thousands of years ago. Near the Gates River is the community of D'Arcy.
A fish hatchery is in operation on the lake; the lake itself has rainbow trout and dolly varden. Most anglers fish here by trolling due to the lack of shoreline. Other lake activities include boating, water skiing, and canoeing.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
