SITE INFORMATION
Uriarra East Crossing is located close to where Uriarra Road crosses the magnificent Murrumbidgee River, and is accessed off the Uriarra Road. There are great spots for shady river-side picnicking. On hot summer days you will find many Canberrans enjoying the easy access to the river, lovely swimming spots and picnic areas. Fishing and canoeing are also popular activities.
This is one of our DOG-FRIENDLY picnic areas.

•Picnic tables
•Off leash dog exercise area
•Fishing
•Swimming
•Walking trails
•Canoe entry points
There are no bins provided, please take your rubbish home and recycle.
Be aware that phone reception is not reliable throughout the Murrumbidgee River Corridor. Do not depend on your phone for safety or directions.

Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
