Battery Park Beach features walking paths, park benches, tennis courts, and a wooded picnic area with a shelter house. Private restrooms, showers, and dressing areas can be found here as well. This beach is a short walk from historic downtown Sandusky, the renovated State Theater, the Carousal Museum, and a number of other parks.

This beach is sampled 4 times per week during the monitoring season.
