Potomac Riverkeeper Network

Potomac Riverkeeper Network is composed of three Riverkeepers — Shenandoah, Upper Potomac, and Potomac — working together to protect the public’s right to clean water in the Potomac river watershed. We stop pollution to promote safe drinking water, protect healthy river habitats, and enhance public use and enjoyment. One way we do this is by running a citizen science water quality monitoring program across the watershed to inform the public on current water conditions. As part of the larger WATERKEEPERS Chesapeake group, which is made up of 19 independent programs throughout the Chesapeake and Coastal Bay waters, PRKN contributes to a strong network of grassroots organizations dedicated to the betterment of the community and its connection to local watersheds.
