Kaiaka Bay Beach Park is a beautiful, long stretch of jagged, rocky shoreline and grassy areas with small intertidal pools, picnic table areas, and shade.
Currents and swell are fairly calm during summer, though we advise you to check the forecast in the winter for larger waves and safety hazards.
The beach is handicap accessible, with beach park bathrooms and showers for beachgoers.
Sea turtles and other marine life like it here, so please respect them and give them 15 feet of space all around and do not disturb them.
Samples are collected once every two weeks.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
