Silver Beach is located on the Eastern side of Pigeon Lake. It is the beach for both the Summer Village of Silver Beach and and the Town of Mulhurst. The beach is located in Mulhurst Bay. Public, day use access to the beach is found at Ouimette Park in the Summer Village of Silver Beach and near the public dock and boat launch in Mulhurst Bay. The Mulhurst part of Silver beach has a marked swimming area but had liitle beach area in 2011. The Mulhurst part of Silver beach is also right beside a the main road for Mulhurst and the busy boat launch. The beach at Ouimette Park is sandy and pebbly with a swimming area with shallower water. This is a family friendly park with a playground, grassy area, volleyball court and picnic tables. This is the best day use part of the beach as the Mulhurst part of Silver Beach is similar but used primarily by campers across the road. Ouimette Park is land provided by the Summer Village of Silver Beach for the public.

Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
