Crystal Pier was once known as Mira Mar and Luna Pier. The pier is a great fishing and strolling spot. Parking is $2 per hour. This access is right down the road from access #36 at 650 S. Lumina Avenue, where you will find handicap-accessible restrooms, showers, and a gazebo. This beach access is open year round from 7am to 9pm. Surfing is prohibited within 500 feet of the pier, and surfers must always be securely attached to their board with a leash. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, surfing is prohibited in areas located in front of each lifeguard stand. Kiteboarders must stay at least 100 yards offshore from the "No Surfing" areas.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
