Sunset Beach

Grand Marais, Manitoba

This is a sandy beach located on the east side of Lake Winnipeg, just south of Grand Beach off Highway 12. It is a small cottage community, with unsupervised swimming. There are hiking/biking trails following the water, connecting the cottage subdivisions to the south. Amenities such as restaurants, washrooms, and lodging are a 15 minute drive north to Grand Marais, Manitoba.

A beach is marked Red when the geometric mean of E. coli samples is above Manitoba’s recreational water quality objective of 200 bacteria/100 mL.

A beach is marked Grey when reliable or up-to-date information is not available.
