SOURCE INFORMATION

Coosa Riverkeeper staff, interns, and volunteers monitor water quality at sites in this region. Sampling season starts May 5th and ends Labor Day Weekend (September 1st).

Water at all sites is sampled for E. coli, total coliform, pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, total dissolved solids and conductivity. More in-depth data is viewable at www.CoosaRiver.org/SwimGuide

A beach is marked Red when the results are equal to or above 235 E.coli / 100 ML water.
