Hubbles Lake is a peaceful little lake located about 40km west of Edmonton. The area around the lake is mostly privately owned and developed. There are 2 resort areas on the lake both offering campgrounds, beach areas, and boat launches.
The water in Hubbles Lake is very clear and algae growth/blooms are less common here than other lakes in the area. Though the lake is small it reaches an impressive depth of 30m making it a popular spot for scuba divers. Motorized boats on the lake must be electric which also makes this a popular lake for canoeing and other non-motorized boats.
Keep your distance from other people.
Practicing social distancing is still essential. Only go to the beach if you are able to keep 6 feet or 2 meters away from others. Follow the instructions provided by your local health authorities. If your community has asked that you remain indoors and away from others, do so. Spending a day in any crowded place is the worst thing we can do for our most vulnerable right now and will counter our efforts to curb the virus’s spread.
